No more kids for Julie, unless it’s an “immaculate conception!”
On Modern Family — and in real life — Julie Bowen is a mother of three who loves her kids. And she doesn’t want that to change!
“Immaculate conception is the only way another kid is coming out of me!” she joked to Us Weekly. “I love my children, but no mas!”
Three kids and a hit television show are enough to keep her busy. Her latest project? Checking out possible kindergartens for her son Oliver. “I don’t have a clue what I’m doing!” she said. “But I have to say, we’re so fortunate — you’re choosing between gold and platinum. All these schools are amazing, so he’ll be fine.”
Although Julie is an involved parent, she said she’s not as intense as Claire Dunphy, her character on Modern Family. “I was class mom at the preschool one year, and I was pretty much asked not to do that again!” she said. “I would set up meetings for all the moms in class and forget to show up — not because I’m a dingbat, but because schedule changes. It turns out that’s a full-time job! I thought class mom made a phone call once a year. No, no, no! It’s a daily job!”
In addition to her 4-year-old Oliver, Julie is the mother of 2-year-old twins John and Gus. “I’m madly in love,” she gushed. “I want to eat them alive they’re so yummy right now!”
