Demi is back and better than ever! She’ll be belting out the national anthem at Game 5 of the World Series!
The MLB tweeted on Oct. 21 that Demi will serenade baseball fans before Game 5 on Oct. 24.
Demi is undoubtedly grateful for such an honorable opportunity. Minutes later, she tweeted, “Only my lovatics could land me a spot singing the national anthem at the WORLD SERIES!!!! I couldn’t do it without you guys!!!!”
Looks like Demi can also thank her sister and Twitter. On Oct. 18, older sister Dallas Lovato created a “Twitition” (think Twitter plus petition), and linked it to her tweet saying, “DEMI LOVATO NEEDS TO SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT THE WORLD SERIES!!!” The Twitition got over 1,300 ‘signatures’!
Zooey Deschanel will sing the national anthem during Game 4, while American Idol winner Scotty McCreery kicked things off during Game 1.
Catch Demi sing the anthem at 7:30 ET on Fox! We can’t wait!
