Breaking news! FBI swarmed the home of Lisa’s mother Deborah soon after she admitted on The Today Show that she was drunk the night her daughter disappeared!
Within hours of Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin‘s television appearance, FBI agents and dogs were sent to the family property where the couple have been staying during the investigation! Agents wouldn’t comment on what they were looking for, but do they suspect Deborah in light of her big reveal?
According to Fox 4 KC, agents were also spotted at a nearby park with shovels, and Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has ordered the Missouri National Guard to assist in the search. Although investigators say they’ve followed up with 550 tips in the case, there’s still no sign of baby Lisa Irwin.
During her interview, Deborah discussed her fear that she’ll be arrested. She admits she failed a polygraph test, and her story keeps changing. Not only did Deborah reveal that she was drinking the night Lisa went missing, but now it turns out she last checked on her daughter at 6:40 p.m. and not 10:30 p.m. as she originally stated.
And now the parents have hired a high-profile lawyer to represent them, according to The Daily Mail. Joe Tacopina has represented a lot of well-known cases, including Lillo Brancato, a Sopranos actor convicted of killing an off-duty cop. But he’s more known for representing Joran Van der Sloot, a prime suspect in the Natalee Holloway case.
The lawyer told reporters that the parents have “nothing to hide.”
