With many twist and turns going on in season 5, many GG fans (including myself) are wondering when it’s all going to end. Penn Badgley reveals it could be sooner than we thought!

In an interview with New York Magazine, Penn Badgley answers the daunting question that GG fans just don’t want to hear: “How much longer is Gossip Girl going to be on?”

And Penn’s answer?

“Yeah. I don’t think it can go past (season) six. ’Cause that is what we’re contracted to,” he tells the mag.

This means next season will be the last! Of course, nothing is for certain — the GG cast could obviously renew their contracts. But if this is true, Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) only have a season and a half to rekindle their love, which will be difficult considering Blair is pretty unavailable with a wedding AND a baby on the way!

I don’t know about you, but ending the show after season 6 feels way too soon! I would be absolutely devastated.
