'Two And A Half Men' Ratings Plummet, Cast & Crew Respond!

Two and a Half Men Ratings

In the midst of Ashton Kutcher’s marriage scandal, ratings for his show ‘Two and a Half Men’ have diminished and sources reveal to HollywoodLife.com how the cast and crew are handling the disappointing news!

When Ashton Kutcher made his debut appearance on Two and a Half Men this season, ratings skyrockets with more than 28.7 million viewers. However, since the 33-year-old actor’s marriage scandal with Demi Moore, ratings have plummeted to fewer than 16 million viewers. An on set source tells HollywoodLife.com the cast and crew’s interesting reaction to the drop in viewers.

“It’s funny because no one is really worried about the ratings,” our insider says. “They are still huge and everyone is just happy it’s not bombing. Plus, it’s nice to have jobs. We’re happy with the ratings so far.”

The source points out Ashton’s ratings are comparable to Charlie Sheen‘s when he starred on the show last year. That said, others are blaming Ashton’s wedding scandal for the loss in viewers.

What do YOU think is to blame? Are YOU watching Two and a Half Men?

I give this show one more year and it will be cancelled. Anger management will out do it. Kutcher sucks.

I don’t care one bit about his personal life. I watched the first few weeks with him, but I now refuse to watch it due to the liberal content, the glorifying of Jake being a pothead, Jake’s bi-racial relationship, then finally, Evelyn becoming a lesbian!!!!!!!!!!! The content is over the top. It used to be my favorite show. How sad it has become.

I too also agree with everyone else, Ashton is a horrible actor. Zoe does not fit in either.

Even though Charlie Sheen is a despicable person, he plaid the part well. I was never a big fan of Ashton, I don’t think he does comedy well, I just can’t see anything in that guy.

Boy did the powers that be mess up. I use to watch the original off and on but now I really appreciate it a lot more. It makes me happy to think of the original team getting residuals when it plays.

The new show should have used the plethora of talent in the original and it was/is time for the 1/2 to be one of the Two and bring in an illegitimate 1/2 or one of the talented step Dad’s. There are so many great potentials, maybe the producer and etc just got tired and want to fail at life after Charlie.

The show just sucks, it just sucks now. And i have to pay for it by watching the reruns(which i enjoy). I watched the first show with Ashton and all it took was 2 minutes for me to switch the channel. Cause his role just sucks.

People that should NOT be in show business:
Adam Sandler
Zoey Deschanell
Ashton Cutcher

Adam Sandler sux so much, he has no choice but to produce/finance his own crappy movies. Deschanell started her own horrible sitcom. Ashton for whatever reason was given a great opportunity that is not ready/able/deserving of.

Sure, John Cryer is a huge talent and clearly the star of the show. But the chemistry between him and Charlie worked. As a supporting cast member to Sheen’s character, Cryer was the star of the show by a long shot. Whoever cast Ashton for the role doesn’t know what chemistry on stage means. Or who Ashton is, given his complete lack of acting ability.

It breaks my heart to see all these fine actors (minus Kutcher) about to lose their jobs. I just can’t see the show surviving as is. CBS is now turning to desperation by bringing Cathy Bates to attempt to generate some interest. But it’s too little, too late. I put the blame on this the producer. As tough as some actors are, the actors make the show, not the producer. Rip, 2.5 Men.

The show was never great. The only thing that made the show watchable was Sheen but 2 1/2 men has never been a great show just above average.

Goodbye 2 1/2 men. I miss you Charlie and sorry but Ashton is terrible on this show and I actually liked him on the 70’s show. You took a perfect show and ruined it.

Last night’s show was so sophomoric! The vomiting gags were stupid and disgusting, and a definite sign that the writers are groping for material. Bring back Rose, Brigit and Alan’s mom. Get rid of Zoey. Or better yet, bring back Sheen. Kutcher isn’t much of an actor to begin with and the script he’s given just makes him look worse. Can’t watch anymore.

THE NEW SHOW SUCKS! I DON’T THINK CHARLIE SHEEN NEEDS TO COME BACK BECAUSE AS FAR AS WE ARE ALL CONCERNED CRYER CARRIED THAT WHOLE SHOW. WITHOUT HIM YOU HAVE NOTHING. ASHTON IS SO STUPID ON THE SHOW THAT EVEN JOHN CRYER CAN’T PULL THE WHOLE LOAD. I HAVEN’T WATCHED BUT TWO SHOWS. IN THE LAST ONE ASHTON HAD CUT HIS NASTY LOOKING HAIR AND THAT WAS AN IMPROVEMENT BUT HE IS STILL STUPID. IN ALL OF HOLLYWOOD COULDN’T YOU FIND ONE GOOD LOOKING GUY TO TAKE CHARLES PLACE. JOHN CRYER HAS ALWAYS CARED THE WHOLE SHOW SO JUST FIND ONE NORMAL GOOD LOOKING GUY & DOUBLE CRYERS SALARY (BECAUSE HE DESERVES IT) AND JUST CUT YOUR LOSS WITH ASHTON. HE HAS BEEN WRITTEN IN AS TOO STUPID FOR WORDS. NO WONDER THE RATING ARE FALLING. NOT BECAUSE WE MISS CHARLIE (I’M GLAD THE MOUTHPIECE IS GONE) BUT BECAUSE YOU DID NOT FIND THE RIGHT PERSON TO TAKE HIS PLACE.

Charlie Sheen was Two and a Half Men. Trying to make the show without him is like trying to make I Love Lucy without Lucy Ball.
The show is pathetic without him. They should have just cancelled the show, or better yet, make Sheen tow the line and finish his contract like everyone else.
Kutcher will be held responsible for the show’s demise, and he should be, for the show is now one of the worst on TV.

alan is okay but even in the original series with charlie i never really found him funny he was always just the Punchline to charlies jokes but what made It funny was how real it seemed to brothers who argue about everything but charlie was the star of the show , now making alan the main character its boring and his annoying he is a try hard and the walden character by ashton is just boring , i liked how charlie was a chain smoking womanizing alcoholic , but ahstons character just doesn’t cut it there is just this hole and i find my self thinking what would charlie be saying here how would he respond to this Overall the show has failed Ashton should of used inspiration from his character on that 70s show where he was some what a funny character

Ratings have fallen because the chemistry isn’t there and the old shows get watched repeatedly – the new last episode I even switched off!!

Ashton Kutcher is fine but his role is absolutely horrible. He acts like such a child and is not funny. It really is hard to watch. Whoever came up with his character in the show really missed the mark.

season nine is very boering and not funny i would not
waste anytime or buy the dvd when it comes out. i do
own all eight season with charlie which are funny.
they need to cancel the show now before it hits rock
bottom. and hurts the rest of the crew that worked so
hard to make it a great sitcom.

I think I caught the funeral for Charlie on a morning show the next day and that’s as close to Two and a Half Men (which should be Three Half Men now) since Charlie left. I watch re-runs with Charlie every weeknight, I will not waste my time watching Ashton Kritcher (or whatever his name is) immature children bore me.
