Michelle embodies the legendary yet tragic actress in the upcoming film ‘My Week With Marilyn’ and her co-star Eddie Redmayne says working with Marilyn was ‘amazing’!
Michelle Williams is hands down one of the best actresses of our generation. The 31-year-old stars as Marilyn Monroe when she starred alongside Laurence Olivier in the 1957 film The Prince and the Show Girl — and it captures one of the most emotionally difficult times of her life. But her co-star Eddie says Michelle was able to become “one” with her character effortlessly.
HollywoodLife.com attended the world premiere of The Weinstein Company’s film during the New York Film Festival and we can tell you it’s a must-see film. Eddie plays Colin Clark, a young twenty-something who is working as one of Laurence’s directorial assistants on the set.
“It was extraordinary [working with Michelle] an actress I’ve always admired,” Eddie tells us. “To watch her take on this project … it was an extraordinary undertaking and seeing her find the confidence and the extraordinary technique was an amazing thing to witness. I felt very privileged.”
Dior hosted the party before the premiere of the film at NYC’s exclusive Private Park at the Hudson Hotel and it was an A-list soiree. Jake Gyllenhaal, Zoe Kazan, Zac Posen, Coco Rocha, and Gina Gershon were just a few of the stars that stepped out to see the film.
