Emma Watson: Her Short Hair Makes Her Take Beauty Risks!

The actress explains that her boyish haircut gives her the freedom to try some really girly makeup looks — even giving her a little inspiration from years past.

“Because I have short hair – I’m big into doing like, a Twiggy mascara,” Emma Watson tells Styelist. “So I’ll do bottom lashes and top lashes.” The look Emma refers to is that of 60’s supermodel Twiggy, who always had heavy top and bottom mascara. See what mascara she recommends to get the look.

Emma, as the face of Lancome’s Tresor Midnight Rose, suggests a Lancome mascara of course! The Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes is her pick, saying it is “made specifically to get that look.”

Besides Twiggy-like lashes, Emma also needs to warm up her pale British complexion.

“And because I’m so pale — I’m English — I have to wear blush or some kind of bronzer. I’m big into a cream blush.”

Cream blush and bronzer together is the best one-two punch combination for creating a warm glow on pale skin. My current blush/bronzer combination to warm up pale winter skin is the Benefit Cha Cha Tint, followed by the Benefit One Hot Minute bronzer.

It depends if the heavy mascara looks good on you. It looks great on Emma because of her short hair.
