Joel died in a car crash on Wednesday, Oct. 12. How tragic!
Joel ‘Taz’ DiGregorio, a founding member of The Charlie Daniels Band, was driving his SUV when it veered off the road and slammed into a tree, killing him, TMZ reports.
He was on his way to meet the band’s tour bus in Tennessee when his accident happened on Interstate 40. His car was the only one involved in the crash.
Joel is most famous for co-writing the song “The Devil Went Down To Georgia.” For the past 40 years he has been writing songs, singing and playing keyboard for the band.
Joel’s family is in our prayers.
