HollywoodLife.com caught up with the star of the new ‘Footloose’ at the NYC premiere and he told us how he got the green light for his character from Kevin Bacon himself!
The original Footloose was a ground breaking movie that will forever be untouched in our hearts. So how did the cast members of the remake, which comes out this week, feel about recreating a classic gem? Kenny Wormald told HollywoodLife.com he got permission from the original Ren, Kevin Bacon, before the film began shooting!
“I haven’t [met Kevin Bacon] and I was a huge fan of the original film. I love the guy in the movie and everything he’s done since. I just haven’t met him,” Kenny admitted to us at the NYC premiere of the film Oct. 12.
He added, “He spoke with our director, they’re friends and he gave his blessings, we did him a lot of justice and I know he’ll be proud.”
After seeing a screening of the film, we’re sure Kenny did Kevin proud. What do YOU think about the new Footloose?
