Kate Gosselin To Star In Her Own Food Talk Show?

Wed, October 12, 2011 3:52pm EDT by 31 Comments

Kate has been frantically looking for a job ever since ‘Kate Plus 8′ was given the boot and by the looks of her recent blog post, it’s clear where her mind is headed!

Move over Rachael Ray because Kate Gosselin is coming your way! The mom-of-eight took to her blog to post two original recipes: Kate’s Cheesy Bacon Surprise, and Kate’s Last Minute Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole. We know that Kate rarely does anything without an ulterior motive — are you thinking what we are?Since 2009 Kate has been trying to get her cook book Love Is In The Mix published but it was shelved during her bitter divorce with Jon Gosselin. Kate has always dreamed of being a talk show host but Kate on her own is definitely not a sell for networks.

Do you think Kate would try to center a show around food, arts and crafts — a cross between Martha Stewart and Rachael?

Check out Kate’s recipes and tell us if you’d eat her creations!

Kate’s Cheesy Bacon Surprise

Ingredients:
4 tbsp flour
1 tbsp garlic
4 tbsp butter
1 cup milk
16 oz grated Parmesan cheese
1 box of “twirly pasta” (can use bow ties or med shells as well), cooked til al dente
8- 12 oz of gouda and or cheddar cheese (I used leftover cheese from a party platter that I had frozen)
1 pack of bacon, baked and crumbled
1 bag of frozen peas, steamed
Pinch of salt
Pepper to taste

*Use first 5 ingredients to make a white cheese sauce: melt butter in a pan, add and sauté garlic. Mix flour then milk until smooth consistentcy over low heat then add Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
Combine cheese sauce with pasta, peas, and bacon and mix.
Over low heat add and or other cheeses to the mixture (gouda is amazing! It will add little melted bites of cheese throughout!)
Salt and pepper to taste!
Note: on “leftover night’” this is even better than the first time!

Gosselin Rating: This received a perfect “10? in my house which is rare!

Kate’s Last Minute Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole

Ingredients:
2 cups baked chicken
2 cups cooked whole grain brown rice
1 1/2 cups mild shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag frozen broccoli, cauliflower, carrot- steamed and finely chopped in food processor or by hand (can also use a bag of frozen mixed veges)
2 cans of cream of chicken
8 oz low fat sour cream
2 cups finely crushed croutons

*In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Add
the baked chicken, rice, finely chopped cooked veges, and pour into a 9 X 13 pan.
Top with remaining cheddar cheese and croutons.
Bake for about 45 min on 350 degrees or until bubbly!
Enjoy!

Time Saver: I made two casseroles and froze one without the croutons on top!

Gosselin Review: This scored an average of a “9? which is wonderful!

Food Network is hopefully not that foolish. Kate has never had an original recipe. For all her talk of eating “healthily” the recipes she usually shows are like these and pretty pathetic as far as being truly healthy.

Her show is off the air and I think she should be out of the news now. Let her go back into oblivion where she belongs. Does this website need to try to promote her?

Good heavens. A Food Network show? Are you kidding? LOL This woman has been built up to be such a fantastic cook, and it is a pure joke. When I was a fan, I could not, for the life of me, understand why everyone thought she was so great. Her cooking is just mediocre. These recipes are NOT original at all. Nor are they healthy nor organic as she always throws out there. I think she just tosses those words out because she thinks it makes her sound good. She clearly knows next to nothing about cooking. Both of these recipes are artery clogging, fatty messes. I would NOT serve them to my kids. Several things she claims to have ‘developed’ that have been around for years and years. The 4th of July cake comes to mind, for one. This woman is just fake.

Now I feel even sorrier for those kids, if this is an example of the meals she makes for them. If anyone has ever watched an episode or two of Next Food Network Star, you get an idea of what type of personality they are looking for and how hard it is to meet that criteria. Kate would fail in all aspects.

Oh, those are horrible meals. Let’s face it, the woman cannot cook only throw together messes.

Her recipes are a joke. One box of pasta for 8 kids, and she has leftovers. She is starving the kids. She is looking like crap, maybe that is how she is planning to get into the headlines again, as an anorexic. She is hopping that will get her some/any attention.

There is too much competition out there, Kate could never make it. She is not likeable or watchable. Pioneer woman is lovely to watch and listen to, a pure 10, where Kate is a negative 10. Kate wouldn’t make it through the first round of any of cooking competition shows, Chopped, Iron Chef, etc. She creates nothing, everything she does is plagiarized.

I think Kate has an eating disorder….she looks terrible. Remember the show when they went next door to get organic milk. The kids were guzzling that milk like they were starving. Her lunches for the kids are just a pile of snacks. Not even a sandwich with protein in it. Kate just throws together left over scraps (her frozen left over chesse from a cheese platter went into the casserole) and serves it for dinner while she sits at the table eating her scrambled salad. Why can’t she prepare a dinner that is healthy and that all can sit down and enjoy together?? These kids are going to have major food issues.

This wench is feeding 9 people.Do you really think this is enough to satisfy the kids? Is that 2 WHOLE cups of chicken for a family of 9??? Really?kate dosent want the tups to grow…thats why she under-feeds them…thats why they sit in high-chairs and wear bibs…thats why they eat off paper platesThats why the kids lunch is nothing but a SNACK….thats why the kids guzzled down milk…kate is starving the kids…she feeds them JUST enough.
I make chicken and dumplins for me and my 2 kids…i use 10lbs of chicken…not to mention other ingredients…10 LBS…for 3…and she uses 2 lbs for 9?
YEAH RIGHT!

What???? These are not original recipes, and furthermore, I thought Kate only fed her family healthy organic meals. This crap is calorie laden junk! No wonder some of her kids are overweight and food obsessed. That’s all they talk about and do on every episode, and they eat a lot of sweets for kids whose mother had a fit when their aunt gave them M&Ms. I hate this fake woman and her fake recipes, and wouldn’t watch anything she is on.

This is a joke, right…? The recipes are NOT originated by Kate. Why do you continue to publish articles about this abusive and despicable woman? It is an insult to your readers.

I wouldn’t watch any type of talk show if Kate Gosselin was in it. Even bubbly Rachel Ray has to interview celebs selling their movie, book, etc. to keep her show going. Can you imagine Kate for 30 minutes a day trying to fake a happy personality with her fake smile making recipes? I love that all her tweets that have been published end every sentence (even her recipes) with an explanation point (!), when that isn’t her personality at all.

Oh pleaase, truth you are nuts. Kate is not famous, she is infamous, another words, she is a “D” lister. No talent, just an exploitative mother who loved having her private life and kids splashed all over the tabloid drama mags. (not to mention her bikini shots because she thought she looked hot).

I certainly wish that everything the haters said about Kate Gosselin was sh**, but unfortunately most of it is all TRUTH. What comes out of Kate’s mouth is usually a lie.

Kate would be an advertisers nightmare.

Hahaha!! These recipes are not original and are such a joke! Just mediocre recipes you can find in any cookbook. She’s going to have to try a lot harder than that if she thinks she could have a cooking show or a cookbook. Not to mention the fact that Kate comes across insincere and very fake on camera. What a disaster that would be!

Ahhhhhh, what happened to Kate Gosselin’s all natural and organic cooking? Which is it Kate? Organic, not organic?

I guess like everything else it depends on the day, time, and who you are speaking too. And most importantly, what the motive is.

Kate, stop lying, and get into therapy.
