Ashton Kutcher‘s marriage to Demi Moore has been devastated by his alleged indiscretions with reported mistress Sara Leal, but he’s trying to make amends by apologizing to Demi on Twitter and winning her back with emotional trips. HollywoodLife.com spoke EXCLUSIVELY with relationship experts, who determined that Ashton could win back Demi’s heart if he works hard enough and is committed to changing his ways!
Some experts agree that if Ashton, 33, wants to be fully devoted to Demi, 48, he can curb his infidelity.
“Yes, it’s possible for people to stop their cheating ways,” sex and relationship expert Amy Levine tells us. “Although, some may say it’s an addiction which is another story. Others cheat because things aren’t going their way at home and they may want to prove a point to the public (particularly in the case of celebrities when it’s going to be all over the press) and affect their partner (in the form of hurt, disgust, etc.). And, when things get better they’re good at being faithful, mainly because the couple is back on the same page and they’re getting what they want and need out of the relationship.”
Others argue that it’s most crucial that Ashton assess what is wrong in his relationship.
“What’s important is for the alleged cheater to define for themselves why they did it and then either fix the problems in their marriage or be honest as to who they are,” Cooper Lawrence, relationship expert and cohost of the Scott & Todd Show on PLJ, says. “As far as Ashton, being in Hollywood is a whole different animal. Not only does success, fame and access to other women change the playing field but I personally believe that they both know that and if they’re smart they decided ahead of time how they would navigate those waters. Be it an open relationship, an ‘understanding’ of some kind or something in between I think they can survive it.”
