Time to stop the speculation. Kim Kardashian was on The Today Show this morning, Oct. 7, and she revealed exactly when she and Kris Humphries plan to start a family!

Kim, 30, was the lucky Kardashian sister to fill in for Kathie Lee Gifford today, Oct. 7th.

Hoda Kotb didn’t hesitate to ask Kim the big baby question. Does she and husband Kris Humphries, 26, plan on having a family anytime soon? And the answer?

“We just want to wait about a year before we start trying,” Kim told Hoda.

She continued to explain that she and Kris want to wait and see where Kris will be playing in the next NBA season!

We think it’s a smart idea for the newlyweds to wait before having kids. They both have been traveling so much and it’s important for them to spend time together as a newly married couple! Because once the babies start coming — it will be more difficult for them to focus on only their relationship.
