HollywoodLife.com caught up with both Victoria Justice and Hunter Hayes about covering the single, ‘Almost Paradise,’ for the soundtrack of the ‘Footloose’ remake! They sound amazing together!
Two of the most talented young names in music, Victoria Justice and Hunter Hayes, collaborated on the new Footloose soundtrack for the remake of the song, “Almost Paradise,” and HollywoodLife.com had the pleasure of chatting with both the artists about their latest work.
“I can’t even tell you what it means to me to be a part of the Footloose soundtrack! It was an honor to cover ‘Almost Paradise’ with Hunter Hayes, who’s the nicest guy and is really talented,” Victoria, 18, told us exclusively. “The film is so great and I’m absolutely thrilled to be a part of it. “
Hunter, a country music singer who opened for Taylor Swift on tour this year, explained the process of recording a cover of the hit song with Victoria.
“When I was asked to basically go in and sing on a track that Victoria had already sung on, it was kind of a ‘try-out’ if you will,” he said. “I was nervous cause I wanted to be true to such an all-time-standard but I also REALLY wanted to try some new stuff on it. I ended up spending three days obsessing over that fine line between the two and ended up with the vocal track you hear on the record.”
He added, “They accepted it and then I realized just where the song is in the movie and my excitement doubled. You’ll see why.”
