Enjoying her freedom, Amanda is surrounded by family and friends who are helping her get back on track!
Amanda Knox, 24, is currently staying in an undisclosed location outside of her hometown in Seattle, Wash. so she can take time to relax, recover and reconnect with a few of her exes!
Amanda’s stepmom told RadarOnline.com that her stepdaughter is “exhausted, ecstatic, and overwhelmed,” and that “She has tons of emotions right now but she’s extremely happy”.
Amanda is definitely not wasting any time, and is already planning on getting her life back to normal as soon as things calm down. Her father, Curt Knox, revealed to the Daily Mail that Amanda soon plans to reunite with 27-year-old Raffaele Sollecito, her boyfriend who was also jailed for the murder of Meredith Kercher, and released along with Knox on Oct. 3. Sollecito is currently recovering with family at his home in southern Italy, but Mr. Knox says that he will probably contact Knox soon and will eventually visit her in Seattle.
Knox is also reportedly hoping to catch up with David Johnsrud, whom she dated before she left for a one-year study abroad program at the University of Foreigners in Perugia. The DailyMail reported that the two ex-lovers occasionally sent each other letters during some of her jail time, and four years later, Knox hopes to meet with with Johnsrud again in person.
Knox also plans to finish up her degree at the University of Washington, but her career goals have changed since her imprisonment. Her father told Matt Lauer on the Today Show that Amanda has a “newfound desire from her standpoint to really help people that have been wrongfully imprisoned”. He predicts that she will make a difference in the lives of people that have been through or are currently going through similar experiences.
Although lawyers have reported that Knox is ready to “cash in” on her story, her father assured Lauer that she is staying under the radar until she is completely ready to speak out. He says “she’s just focusing on getting back with her friends and her family right now.”
