Lisa was taken from her crib in Kansas City, Missouri on Oct. 3. Although the amber alert has been canceled, the search for her continues!
On Oct. 4, 10-month-old Lisa Irwin was believed to be abducted from her crib. Over 100 Kansas City Police Officers and FBI agents are searching to find the missing child..
Lisa’s mother put her down to sleep around 10:30 p.m. and when Lisa’s father arrived home from work at around 4 a.m., he went into her room to check on her and she was gone. The parents immediately called police.
Police issued and Amber Alert at first, then pulled it Tuesday at 7:30pm. The massive search is still on with canines, mounted patrol, a fugitive unit, and a narcotics and vice unit.
Police Sgt. Stacey Graves stated in a news release, “Although the investigation and search for Lisa Irwin continues, an active Amber Alert is no longer necessary in this case. Lisa Irwin is still considered a missing/endangered juvenile.”
Police Capt. Steve Young confirmed in an interview with Good Morning America that a neighbor said they saw someone walking down the street at night with a baby in a diaper. Unfortunately, the information hasn’t led to any new developments. “We followed that and several other leads but nothing has turned into any hard info,” Young told GMA. “We’re not sure the only thing were certain of is that there’s a 10-month-old that’s not at home where she should be.”
Authorities believe it looks as though the suspect used the bedroom window to enter and leave. Officer Darin Snapp told ABCNews.com, “They saw the window and the screen appeared that it was tampered with.”
It’s reported that both of Lisa’s parents are cooperating with police, in hopes of finding their beautiful little girl! The infant’s parents have yet to say anything publicly, but are expected to speak at a news conference scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.
Lisa has blue eyes, blonde hair, is 30 inches long and weighs between 26 and 30 pounds. She was last seen wearing purple shorts and a purple shirt with white kittens on it. She has two bottom teeth, a small bug bite under her left ear and a beauty mark on her right outer thigh.
“We are pleading that if anyone saw anything, to contact us,” Snapp said. “It might be that small piece [of information] that puts everything together.”
Lets keep our fingers crossed for the safe return home of baby Lisa, Hollymoms!
