Big things are going down with the Salvatore brothers this Thursday. Real big things.

Now that she’s basically a single girl, Elena (Nina Dobrev) should be able to relish her alone time with Damon (Ian Somerhalder), but once again he has to go all self-destruct-y on himself. The Oct. 6 episode of The Vampire Diaries finds Damon revisiting his own inner Ripper, and while I’m not one to turn down a Damon smolder-fest, it looks like he could really use a napkin.

And as you can see from that lovely shot of Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Caroline (Candice Accola), that relationship is still on the rise. It’ll take more than a fang-hating daddy with a penchant for torture to keep “Forwood” down!

But the couple I’ve really got my eye on is Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Rebecca (Claire Holt), who appear to be picking things up right where they left off back in 1920s Chicago. So what are we calling this couple — Stebecca? Rebefan? Either way, I’m on board.
