Would you EVER consider sharing your husband with one or more other women in a polygamist marriage? Bonnie says no way, but Chloe says, hmm, not so fast, there may be good reasons to consider it! What do you think Hollywoodlifers?

Kody Brown and his four wives are adamant that they want their children, especially their daughters to follow in their polygamist footsteps. However, on the Oct. 2nd episode, only daughter Mariah, 14, says she absolutely wants to be a sister wife because it’s a beautiful thing.

Now, Bonnie and Chloe debate the issue here. So watch and tell us who YOU agree with, Hollywoodlifers?

I think Bonnie should stop projecting her insecurities about her relationships onto this show.

Any woman who opts to be a polygamist wife is an ignorant fool and couldn’t care less about the wellbeing of her children. Only the first, legal wife and her children are covered by the husband’s health insurance, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, tax benefits etc. The remaining women (in reality, concubines in a harem) have no protection whatsoever and risk deep poverty should a serious illness or accident occur. There is no equality within a situation where one man is lord and the women have to fight for his attention and line up to take their turn in his bedroom. By agreeing to be a polygamist wife, such women are reinforcing the ancient double standard, where men have many sexual partners, but women are supposed to keep faithful to the one man. What fools such women are. Moreover, while polygamy was condoned in the Old Testament (which also condones slavery and the stoning of homosexuals) the practise is condemned by St. Paul in the New Testament. Polygamists aren’t Christian, they’re basically pagans. The practise stems from the dark ages when women had no rights and were considered chattels. That any woman would consider stepping back into the dark ages amazes me. Don’t these silly women know the year is 2011 AD, not 2011 BC?

The Brown’s go on and on about how it’s their choice, it’s their lifestyle.. so I get that they want their kids to lead the life they were raised to live but it’s their choice- it’s their lifestyle. The one wife that says ‘did we do something wrong?’ no.. you showed them that just like you have chosen- they can choose!
