Could YOU afford to send eight kids to school with organic food for lunch?
Kate Gosselin revealed on her new blog Kate Plus My 8 what she packs her kids for lunch, and it turns out there’s plenty of high-priced organic choices! While we applaud her for going the healthy route — especially at a time when child obesity is an ongoing issue — we question the economics of the situation considering her recent unemployment.
What’s in Kate’s kids’ lunchboxes?
“Guacamole and chips, organic salted sunflower seeds, celery sticks, a red plum (yum!), organic yogurt with non-organic sprinkles (yes, it livens up vanilla yogurt!), a homemade M&M chocolate chip cookie, a bottle of Juicy Juice and a little box of raisins!” Kate writes.
Is it wise for Kate to be splurging on organic sunflower seeds and yogurt when they are healthy to begin with?
What do you think, Hollymoms? Should Kate continue splurging on organic food when she’s unemployed?
