Catelynn says she’s really insecure with her post-baby body and it causes her to be jealous when Tyler’s around other girls — can you relate to Catelynn?
Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have been together since the seventh grade but even they have their issues. Once dubbed Teen Mom‘s most “solid” couple, Catelynn reveals on the upcoming Oct. 4 reunion show that she’s worried Tyler will leave her for another girl.
“I feel like he’s just gonna dip out one day and go screw all these women,” she tells Dr. Drew Pinsky. “I need to get you an [engagement] ring so girls leave you alone!”
Tyler popped the question just a few months after they emotionally gave up their daughter Carly, 2, for adoption. But the new report in Us Weekly says Catelynn’s fears stem from her emotional issues with her own family.
“Everybody has walked away in my life,” she says. “I have terrible abandonment issues.”
Catelynn also says she’s had a difficult time losing the post-baby weight and that causes her to become jealous of other girls.
“I have this envious side, and was like, none of those other girls dancing had a baby before,” she says of going to a club with Tyler. “It opened up some of my self-esteem issues.”
Although these two are having a tough time, Catelynn says they are staying together!
“We had a bump, but we got over it.”

She’s right to be concerned. They consented to adoption of their baby because they weren’t ready for children and couldn’t care for one. So now he is going on with his life, including college, while she is still a high schooler. Of course he’s going to be meeting and socializing w/ very pretty college girls. And as for Catelyn, she needs to realize that she is on a par w/ every other girl her age, she’s childless and free just like most of them are. She has no one to blame but herself, they gave away the baby that would have tied them together and created a family. This was a teen romance but most teens grow out of that as they mature and realize how many other life options they have. If they are engaged, then they should marry NOW. If not, they are just two young adults playing house and Catelyn has every reason to be concerned about losing him.
