Judging by the intricate headpieces on the models head, it sure looks like it!
There’s no denying the fact that Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is a trendsetter. She can’t step out of the house without the press and public fawning over whatever she’s wearing, whether it’s a couture gown or a dress off the rack at Zara or Topshop! Now it looks like her influence is being seen on the runways, with models strutting their stuff on the catwalk wearing headpieces that resemble the fascinators Kate made famous.
After taking one glance at the top of the model’s heads at the Aganovich presentation during Paris Fashion Week, all we could think of was Kate! Does this mean cocktail hats and fascinators will be more mainstream come Spring? We’ve already heard of a rise in sales after Kate stepped out, sharing her chic take on the hats and we also saw Blair wearing a similar creation on the set of Gossip Girl!
I have to admit, I think there’s something so fun about the look — I definitely hope we start seeing more fascinators! What about you? Would you wear an elaborate headpiece? And do you think designer’s are inspired by Kate’s style or is it just a coincidence?

There is too much of a similarity to be a coincidence. Fascinators have been popping up on celebrities ever since Kate was thrown onto the world stage wearing them. There have already been reported increase in mainstream sales of fascinators and similar head-pieces in US, Canada, and Australia. I like them myself, I think it adds certain amount of energy to the whole look.
