HollywoodLife.com consulted with a leading divorce lawyer, who explained what will happen with Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher’s estimated $290 million fortune if they really do split!
Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are reportedly kaput, but their split won’t be a simple one — especially if they don’t have a prenuptial agreement. HollywoodLife.com chatted with leading divorce lawyer Paul Catsandonis Sept. 28, who explained how Ashton and Demi’s estimated $290 million worth has a grim future if they get a divorce, as reported.
Catsandonis hasn’t worked directly with Ashton, 33, or Demi, 48, but believes they are most likely going to file in California, which means they’ll have to split their money 50/50 — including that estimated $800,000-$900,000 Ashton’s making per episode on Two and a Half Men.
“Ashton’s income from his new sitcom will be considered marital property until someone files for divorce,” Catsadonis says.
He adds, “Ashton’s alleged affair also won’t affect the division of funds. If they didn’t sign a prenup, they can expect to split their worth in half.”

That’s it in a nutshell. I’ve been wondering considering their coldness to each other why she keeps delaying filing. I’m sure getting half of Ashton’s salary could add up if filing is delayed long enough.
