Gov. Christie refuses a tax break to the show, claiming it perpetuates negative stereotypes about New Jersey! Do you agree?
We all know the cast of Jersey Shore has a curious relationship with politics — Snooki famously blasted President Barack Obama for his proposed tax on tanning — but now they might actually have a reason to fight the power. Like, a legitimate one. Jersey Shore‘s production company applied for a $420,000 tax credit that would allow the show to expand its filming within the state of New Jersey, but quickly learned that Governor Chris Christie isn’t exactly a fan of the show.
Not only did Gov. Christie reject the tax credit, but he also released a statement, saying that it was his “duty” to keep taxpayers from having to support “a project which does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens.”
Wow, Gov. Christie. Why don’t you tell us how you really feel?

Not flattering at all to Jersey.
