In his first interview since the nuptials, William gives an inside information about the wedding — and why he never thinks about being king!

Prince William and Kate Middleton are the most down-to-earth royals ever, and William has revealed that they live their life on their own terms — even behind closed palace doors!

William and Kate, both 29, are eager to create a new chapter for the royal family. Robert Hardman has exclusive interviews with William for his new book Our Queen (part of which has been excerpted in the Daily Mail), and he described declining a massive wedding.

“I came into the first meeting for the wedding, post-engagement,” he said. “And I was given this official list of 777 names — dignitaries, governors, all sorts of people — and not one person I knew. They said: ‘These are the people we should invite.’ I looked at it in absolute horror and said: ‘I think we should start again.’ I rang her up the next day and said: ‘Do we need to be doing this?’And she said: ‘No. Start with your friends first and then go from there.’ And she told me to bin the list.”

Furthermore, William shockingly claims that he doesn’t really ponder his upcoming royal commitments.

“I try not to think about it, to be honest,” he says. “As I’m flying along in my helicopter through the mountains of Wales, I try desperately hard not to think about it. That can wait until I’m a bit older.”
