Former 'RHONY' Star Cindy Barshop: I'm Happy With Bravo's Decision & Already Have Other TV Offers!

Cindy reveals to HollywoodLife.com exclusively that it was in fact Bravo’s choice to let her go, but that ‘RHONY’ gave her ‘a great platform to have the world see [her] as a beauty expert!’

Former The Real Housewives of New York City star Cindy Barshop is taking the news that she wasn’t asked back for season five very lightly. In fact, Cindy tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that she’s excited about the change because being a Housewife has opened up many new doors for her — and we might even being seeing her return to to TV quite soon!

“I am happy with the decision because when one door closes, another opens,” Cindy tells us. “Bravo gave me a great platform to have the world see me as a beauty expert, a platform for Completely Bare on a national level. It gave be the ability to raise more money for different children’s charities — The MacDella Cooper Foundation and the Starlight Children’s Foundation — which all three things I’m going to keep on doing.”

Cindy is already looking at how she can use this situation to boost her career — and it seems to be working. “I have a lot of different opportunities now,” she shares. “I have received offers to be a beauty expert on a national show. It’s more of a once a week, once a month thing that I was talking to different networks about.”

“It was Bravo’s decision, but I want everyone to understand that any type of change in your life, brings new opportunity,” continues Cindy. “And opportunity as always will open up some positive environments. I’m excited.”

And even though Cindy will be saying goodbye to Bravo production, she will stay in touch with some of her former cast mates — Jill Zarin, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and Kelly Bensimon — admits Cindy.

She agrees that the women that were fired including Jill, Kelly and Alex McCord will survive the change quite well. “I think they will be successful just as I will,” she says. “They also have new opportunities.”

“I’m not a producer. For them to want to make a change, I think there was some underlying reasons and they did,” notes Cindy. “Nobody likes to be said no to but you can always take that as a new opportunity. My life was great the year before that. It was great this year and it’s just going to be different this year — a new great different. I’m not going anywhere.”

Jeez, what is with all these comments? Cindy is the only normal, well mannered and down to earth one of the lot!! She is only decent one and I bet she is releived to be out of the show an away from all the pathetic dramas so she can ceoncetrate on raising her family. Sonja is a total b***h and completely delusional and how come only Cindy ever saw it??? Think she is great.

I forget what program it was, but they announced the firing of the housewives and they referred to her as Cindy Bishop. Take the hint. No one even wants to remember your name (they probably never knew it to begin with).

Do not give this woman a show. She has the personality of a door knob. She’s rude, offensive and boring with a capital B. All she does is promote her hair waxing business.
