It’s going to be a big year for Mike Chang on ‘Glee!’ Watch our exclusive interview with Harry Shum Jr.!

When the powers-that-be at Glee promoted Harry Shum Jr. to series regular this season, they weren’t messing around. Mike Chang himself told HollywoodLife.com there’s some serious drama on the way. “There’s drama with the parents over what they want him to do [after graduation], but what he might not want to do,” Harry told us Sept. 18 on the Emmys red carpet. “There’s definitely a lot to explore in that.”

And speaking of new drama, let’s not forget about the new crop of Gleeks from The Glee Project who will be walking the halls of McKinley High this season!

“They come in and knock it out and they’re funny!” Harry told us. “It’s awesome. I remember that feeling when I came in, so it’s really cool. We try to make them feel as welcome as possible. That’s what the Glee set really is.”

And what would sage advice would Mike write in the yearbooks of those newcomers? Harry has one simple rule for surviving life at McKinley:

“Keep a level head, and you’ll do fine.”

Watch our full interview with Harry below, and be sure to check out the season premiere of Glee at 8 p.m. tomorrow on FOX!
