They’re New York’s most famous family — and a regular fixture on the school run — but SJP admits they came close to selling up and leaving the city.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick almost swapped Manhattan for life in the sticks — until their eight-year-old son James Wilke put his foot down! Do your kids dictate where you live?
After the couple’s twin daughters Tabitha and Loretta arrived in 2009, the pair decided a more rural setting would be better for their brood.
SJP, 46, tells USA Today, “Having three kids, we thought, ‘Should we?’ We sort of took some hours with some realtors.”
But she couldn’t bear to tear her son away from the city he loves so much!
“James is really attached to the city,” she says. “He loves walking out that door, as do I, and the whole city is laid out in front of him. It’s such a privilege.”
Do you think Sarah and Matthew made the right decision, HollyMoms? Have your kids ever determined where you live?
