The award-winning director grabbed dinner with Taylor in July and went to a Cirque Du Soleil performance in August — could it be they’re working on a film together? Read on to find out!
Taylor Lautner is teaming up with one of Hollywood’s best – director Gus Van Sant! HollywoodLife.com attended the premiere of Gus’ new coming of age film Restless on Sept. 14 and we just had to ask why he’s been spotted all over town with our favorite Twilight star!
“There’s a film that he wanted to put together,” Gus told at at the screening hosted by Cinema Society with Dior Homme & GQ. “But I’m not working on it … yet. It’s possible I may work on it.”
This explains why Taylor, 19, dined with the 2008’s Milk director Gus and screenwriter Dustin Lance Black on July 13, and was spotted exactly one month later on Aug. 13 at Cirque Du Soleil’s performance of Iris.
Taylor stars in the upcoming thriller flick Abduction which is due out in theaters Sept. 23 but after seeing Restless, we hope Taylor and Gus are working on a love story!
“I hope [filmgoers] get into the love story,” Gus told us of Restless. “And they feel like they want to fall in love.”

Here we go again , with this blog starting rumors … Not once he said he was making a movie with Lautner , they had a conversation . Van- Sant doesn’t really makes action movies he is knw for edgy drama/ love stories mainly indies . Why don’t you people wait before stating stories that may or may not come to fruition !!! Sheeeshhh !!!!
