Poor Michael may have raked in the big bucks, but he is also now coping with a broken heart after seeing surprise footage of Holly getting engaged to Blake Julian!
Formerly engaged couple Holly Durst and Michael Stagliano pulled the ultimate win of $250,000 on the season finale of Bachelor Pad 2 on Sept. 12. But for Michael, this big win came with a huge surprise — watching scenes of Holly accept Bachelor Pad 2 competitor Blake Julian‘s actual proposal as part of the season finale!
Michael had no clue that this was going to be part of the finale until he saw the footage. “It’s a loss and a gain at the same time,” Michael tells Life & Style magazine. “It’s hard to say goodbye to somebody when you still love her.”
Holly and Michael previously got engaged in June 2010, but Holly ended it just six months later. When she decided to partner up with Michael, she was also thinking about getting back together with him — that’s until Blake entered the picture.
“I started to think maybe I could go back to Michael,” Holly admits. “But then I went out on a date with Blake, and it confused the hell out of me. That’s when everything started to change.”
Holly got engaged to Blake after only three months — and revealed that she was going to move to South Carolina to be with him.
Poor Michael now feels completely lost. “I wasn’t ready for that,” he confesses. “One of the last things I said to her on the show was, ‘I love you.’”
Michael and Holly had to split the $250,000 prize.
