Rihanna's Shocking, Offensive 'C*NT' Necklace Is Back! She Should Stop Being So Vulgar!

Fri, September 2, 2011 10:59am EDT by 52 Comments

RiRi took the statement necklace trend in a totally different direction — and I think it’s just gross!

Although she was dressed-down and wearing minimal makeup, Rihanna still managed to send a very strong message last night while dining in Santa Monica — and she did so without even saying a word! RiRi opted to re-wear her c-you-next-Tuesday nameplate necklace that we first saw back in March — and I still can’t begin to fathom why she would wear that word proudly around her neck. I think Rihanna seriously needs to tone it down.

The star has so much going for her: she’s talented, gorgeous, and fashion-forward — so why wear something so offensive? It’s one thing if you’re dressing up on stage in a costume, but this vulgarity is just disgusting. I think it’s way too over-the-top and very unnecessary — there’s nothing cool or tough about it.

Rihanna has been through a lot and many women look up to her after everything she went through so openly, but something like this really puts a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn’t want to see people walking around on the street with this word around their neck, and the same goes for popstars — there’s nothing respectable or classy about it.

What do you think? Am I being a bit prudish and is her necklace no big deal or do you think it’s kinda gross, too?

I wonder if Rihanna’s mother is proud of her? She looks like a slut with the sheer dress she has been wearing and the vulgar necklace around her neck. As far as I’m concerned, I hope the trashy attitude she has disgusts the parents so much that they will not buy her records for their children.

I enjoy her songs. If she had to wear a necklace with small print why couldn’t she wear something which is possitive. I can ignore it and feel sorry for her. She knew what she was doing unfortunately she doesn’t get enough attention. Maybe a psychoanalyst could help her get in touch with her inner child, and whoever else has problems with understanding what our female for-fathers (women) fought for in womens rights for respect from others and self respect/worth.

Seems to me that she doesn’t respect herself; therefore, she doesn’t demand it from others. Hence the smack downs from boyfriends. It is what she thinks she deserves. Poor kid.

Pfft, this is hardly news-worthy.
In most of Australia, at least, the word is not all that offensive, and is used colloquially quite often without causing much (if any) offence. My mother doesn’t even bat an eyelid at the use of the word cunt.
Don’t be such a prude!

CUNT doesn’t hold the same weight for Caribbean people. it’s the most offensive word in the world for Americans and folks from the UK but in the Caribbean it’s really not that serious

NOT THE SAME

IT’S NOT THE MOST OFFENSIVE WORK IN THE UK.

Here in the states it’s used in a misogynistic and sexist way as a derogatory term for women.

But in the UK, the word CUNT just means azzhole or jerk and it can be evenly applied to both women and men.
