Film producer Susan Downey is due to give birth in February, her aunt has revealed!
The new arrival will be ‘Iron Man’ star Robert Downey Jr. second child and first with his wife of six years, Susan. What great news!
“I think it’s wonderful that she’s pregnant,” Susan’s aunt, Nancy Miller tells Star magazine.
“The baby is due in February. Susan’s father, my brother, called me about three weeks ago with the good news. Her parents are over the moon about it.”
“It [doesn’t] really matter if it’s a boy or a girl,” she adds. “What really matters is that the baby is healthy.”
Robert, 46, has an 18-year-old son, Indio, from his marriage to actress/singer Deborah Falconer — but the baby is 37-year-old Susan’s first.
We’re thrilled with the news, and love the baby boom that’s exploding through Hollywood at the moment!
First Jennifer Garner, then Beyonce, now Robert Downey Jr. and his wife — we can’t wait to meet all these beautiful babies in the New Year!

It is a miracle that Robert Downey Jr. is alive, and wonderful to see him sober and happy. He worked very hard to get to where he is in his life and career, and this baby couldn’t have happened at a better time in his life. I am so happy for the both of them!
