Happy Birthday, Richard Gere! You’re 62 Today, August 31!

We can’t believe he’s almost in his mid-sixties! Richard is STILL heartthrob in our eyes.

Richard Gere, who is known for movies such as Pretty Woman, Unfaithful, Chicago and Brooklyn’s Finest, is celebrating another year in film. Next up, the actor stars in The Double and Arbitrage and continues his work as an ecological causes campaigner and AIDS awareness activist.

Richard was married to Cindy Crawford before tying he knot with model and actress Carey Lowell in 2002. The couple has a son Homer, 11.

“When you have kids, you don’t see movies much,” Richard explains. “If you had the time and space in your life to see a movie, you’d probably rather spend it with your wife doing something else. I see all the kids’ movies. That’s required. I liked the Toy Story movies and The Incredibles.”
