Charice's New Album 'Infinity' Is Revealed! What Do You Think Of The Cover?

Tue, August 30, 2011 10:38am EST by 43 Comments

It’s pretty sassy, kind of serious, and undeniably Charice. Are you excited for ‘Infinity?’

I’m not sure exactly what the rationale is behind the title of Charice‘s sophomore album, so I’ll just assume it references Charice‘s infinite talent, as it is truly without bounds. And now that we have our first look at the artwork for Infinity — which my fellow Chaster, Kirstin Benson, already gave you all the scoop on — I’m more pumped for its 2012 release than ever!

Infinite because offers from producers just keep on coming in to Charice, because Charice never fails to soothe the ears of music lovers and most of all because Charice’s music is classy and full of inspirations that even a lifetime of generation to generation could even relate. I hope I made sense.

If I were not a Charice fan, I will still buy it just for the love of her good quality vocals and excellent performances, which is practically free in the YouTube and which made a lot of people entertained and happy. About time to pay her back in a very modest way, i.e. by buying her albums.

As regards her sophomore album cover with the infinity symbol really captivating/intriguing, perhaps the word infinity itself could be written in a similar shade of gray within the symbol itself, such that ‘INFI’ would be to the right of Charice’s right elbow and ‘NITY’ to the left of her left elbow. It may lessen the enigma of the infinity symbol itself, but at the same time, it should prevent some people to automatically think of her as a ‘cowgirl’ or being in a similar setting as some have already suggested earlier.

Let’s all be objective, and just be honest to ourselves. Let’s not be confused between Charice as the artist vs. this album cover, they’re two different things. I’m one of the huge followers of Charice, she always mesmerize me when she performs. She has this indescribable ability to make you listen and focus your attention to her as if you and her were the only people at the concert, despite all the crowd and noise, you wont even hear them. However, in comparison to her huge talent, we can all admit that this album art per se, doesn’t impress at all. The idea of ‘Infinity’ is great and it speaks thousands of words, but it could have been visually interpreted in a much better way that would match the whole context of the album. The track list is so impressive that it gives you a real positive vibe right out of the box although no one has ever heard the rest of the song yet, but, the cover doesn’t match the ‘self-worth theme’ in any way. On the technical side, Charice looks stunning in this picture (could have been hotter without the ‘wrong hat’), however, the cover art creator delivered a very amature-ish turn out, that it looked like any ‘do-it-yourself-er’ kid could have made this better. You know what tells you when an album cover is good, is when you walk through the aisles that it makes you snap your neck as if you thought you saw something, and when you’re at it, you’ll stare at it and wont put it down! And it makes you want to buy it even if you don’t recognize who the artist is! Her Japan debut album and ‘Louder’ cover arts are way, way better than this. I bet you all can agree with that. Again, Charice the artist vs. this album cover are two different things. We should also try to put ourselves in the non-fans’ shoes. If you were not her fan, and you never knew her, would you buy this album if you saw it on the shelf?

Intriguing. When asked why number 8 on her Dodger jersey, when she sang the US National Anthem for opening day in 2009, she said “because that means infinity!”

Nice…she has grown up so fast…what a beautiful young lady. The album title speaks for itself…
Infinity…unbounded limit…

Just like what Lionel Richie said in an interview, “How far she can go, the sky is the limit”. Very well said and fitted for a rare talent like Charice.

At long last, we have a glimpse of Charice Infinity album Japan version. Chasters around the globe are very much excited about this album. Thank you hollywoodlife.com!

Nissan should grab the opportunity to make arrangements with Warner Music Japan to use the album to promote it’s premium Infinity cars.

Charice looks like a COW-GIRL in Halloween-like background, the japanese cover in her first album was far better than this. seriously I hope this aint official yet, It doesnt look like for Hollywood or japan market at all! Shes a superstar you know and her album cover is only this? WTF!

What’s wrong with a cowboy hat–even Prince William and Duchess Catherine wore cowboy hats while in Alberta–they look cool and sassy, and so do Charice!

Will definitely BUY several copies to distribute to my friends and relatives–they all adore Charice and her exquisite music!

Cow-girl? Halloween-like? ROTFLOL! If you’re going to make a nonsensical statement, at least make it as intriguing as this amazing cover art Charice has put out. [Door closed]
