It’s been the longest summer of Amber’s life, separated from her daughter while she underwent rehab treatment in California!
Troubled Teen Mom star Amber Portwood looked healthy and rejuvenated as she spent a precious weekend (Aug. 27 & 28) with her 2-year-old daughter Leah, just a week after checking out of rehab.Amber checked into a Malibu clinic in June after losing custody of Leah and attempting suicide.
After completing her tough two-month stint, the 21-year-old flew straight back to Anderson, Indiana to reunite with Leah — who has been being cared for by Amber’s ex Gary Shirley.
The mommy-daughter duo spent the weekend running errands and spending quality time together.
She may be out of rehab, but Amber has more tough times ahead, including the next leg of her custody battle with Gary — which HE expects to win.
She also has to decide if she will stay in Indiana or seek a fresh start elsewhere — she’s rumored to be considering a move to Tennessee, where her brother lives.
Let’s hope Amber makes the RIGHT decision for her and Leah.
Should she stay and risk another violent bust-up with Gary, or stay away?

so tired of the poor me attitude of these mom’s on teen mom! your on tv n got paid to show all this so you have already been given a better chance for your children finanially so stop whining! Amber is horrendous! she is fat, nasty, mean, selfish and a huge fake! there is no dou bt in my mind she is total white trailer trash mentally no matter what you give her or where she lives or how much 4 she makes from mtv she is and always will be trash because she doesnt try to change, admit she has a problem or even try to see things for what they really are! instead its..poor amber, why me? blah blah blah…she spends all her time focused on herself instead of really being honest with others and even being honest with herself! she doesnt even think she is wrong so she will never grow or learn from it. who is she to hit another person, no matter how big gary is, she has no right to do it and he didnt even hit her back! that shows how much more leah belongs with him. amber is always mad and gets very violent or can get very violent, as we have seen and leah should never even be unsupervised while she is with amber at any time. harsh? i dont care! all it takes is 1 time for amber to erupt and something drastic could happen and god forbid Leah should be on the receiving end of 1 of Ambers neverending tantrums and anger filled confrontations and lash outs! 1 time is all it takes! amber is still the same old amber! she hasnt changed and gary should have full custody of leah with supervised visits for amber with leah for now and the near future then we will see if amber really has changed or not before she has more than those rights to visits with leah!
