Ashley and Jen share advice with HollywoodLife.com exclusively on how Ben should handle being ‘The Bachelor’!
Ben Flajnik has some major support from the Bachelor and Bachelorette community if he makes it as the star of The Bachelor! Former Bachelorette Jen Schefft and Bachelor contestant on Brad Womack‘s season, Ashley Spivey, will both be rooting for him along his journey if he’s named The Bachelor!
“I think he’s going to be a good Bachelor,” Ashley tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Bliss Fabulips Bachelorette event at Bliss 49 in NYC on Aug. 24. “He has a good story with everything that happened last season.”
Ben’s ready to fall in love. “I think that he definitely had a lot of emotional growth over Ashley [Hebert]‘s season,” notes Ashley. “I don’t know if he was necessarily ready for a relationship when the show first started — and by the end you could see that he had really let down a lot of walls and he was really willing to fall in love. So I’m rooting for him. I hope he finds it.”
“I have a harder time watching the Bachelorettes than the Bachelors because it’s personal for me,” confesses Jen. “I didn’t watch it, but of course my mom would fill me in on all of the episodes, so she’s rooting for Ben.”
If Ben does become the next Bachelor, he needs to have fun and just be himself. “Open up and really enjoy the process for what it is,” Ashley advises. “Definitely enjoy every moment, don’t get too caught up in some of the producer handling. Just have fun with it. At the end of the day, even if it doesn’t work out for him, there’s someone out there for him. Don’t put too much stock into it.”
“I’ll speak to that,” Jen agrees. “Don’t let the producers kind of sway you in one way or one direction or the other. Just have fun and be yourself and hopefully things will work out. If they do, great. If they don’t, then you’ll move on with your life. He’ll have a great time.”
