‘Pretty Little Liars’ star Lucy Hale tells HollywoodLife.com she’s working on a solo album that will be ‘lyrically driven!’ Are YOU excited?
Lucy Hale die-hards remember watching the talented brunette compete and make it to the finals on the American Idol-esque show, American Juniors nearly 10 years ago. Now all grown up and starring on the TV show, Pretty Little Liars, and in the feature film, A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song, Lucy, 22, tells HollywoodLife.com she wants to expand her repertoire and release a solo album in the very near future!
“I think that’s in the cards. It’s very beginning stages,” she told us at a junket for her film in Beverly Hills, Calif. Aug. 20. “I’m sort of busy with Pretty Little Liars. I’d like to within a year.
After stressing that she’d never want to rush a music career, and prefers for it to happen organically, Lucy added, “I feel if I were to release songs, I would want it to be lyrically driven. More about the lyrics, that’s really what I connect to.”
In A Cinderella Story, Lucy’s character, Katie, dreams of recording her own music, but gets her hopes dashed over and over again by an evil step-mom and step-sister. Lucy is perfect for the role — giving it tons of attitude, charm and a brilliant vocal performance. In fact, her co-star Freddie Stroma was so impressed with her voice, he dubbed her a cross between Adele and Christina Aguilera!
Be sure to check out A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song when it comes out on DVD and Download Sept. 6. Are YOU excited by the idea of a Lucy Hale album? Sound off below!
