Why Angelina Jolie Swapped Drinks & Drugs For Diapers & Bottles!

The mom-of-six admits she was a selfish, immature girl, who truly thought she had it all, until she began filming ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’ in 2000.

Many wonder how Angelina Jolie went from being a wild child to suddenly settling down, adopting three children and having three of her own with her partner of six years, Brad Pitt. Now, Angie opens up about the moment that changed her life.

“A turning point in my life came when I made Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” Angelina admits to The Sun, adding that the film, which was released in 2001, was shot partly in Cambodia, where she adopted her first child, son Maddox, now 10.

“I learned that the world is bigger than I thought it was and there were more important things than a film. I did not know much about Cambodia. I did not appreciate how beautiful it was and I had never met such open-hearted people.”

The actress, 36, who devotes almost all of her time to her six children, as well as working as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, admits she was headed down the wrong path, getting involved in things that would ultimately destroy her life.

“[Lara Croft] helped me get in to shape. I smoked a lot, drank far too much, had way too much coffee and suffered from insomnia,” Angelina says. “The fitness coaches on Lara Croft adjusted me. I had a certain amount of water, protein checks, vitamins, my cigarettes were taken away and I was not allowed to drink alcohol.”

Angelina realized that this healthier lifestyle was what she needed and began to reevaluate her life. That’s when she decided to not only get involved with UNHCR, but become a mommy, adopting Cambodia-born Maddox in 2002 as a single parent.

Angie jointly adopted Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005 and Pax from Vietnam in 2007 with Brad. Before welcoming Pax, Angelina gave birth to the couple’s first biological child, Shiloh, now 5, and then in 2008 welcomed twins Knox and Vivienne.

“Once I became a mom, I realized it was far harder than being Lara Croft,” Angelina explains. “I want my kids to appreciate how fortunate they are in life, compared with so many people who have nothing.”

“I am so blessed to have healthy children and a great partner,” she adds. “We are having a wonderful time raising our kids together. There is a lot of love in our home.”

Do you remember how Angie was before being a mom? She has truly changed her life around!

It seems like now she settling into to being a mother. Spending time with her kids. I think it is because Jennifer Aniston is no longer a threat to her. I am happy for the kids. Kids deserve a great life and all the love you can give them.

Gossip is so boring lately that the media is once again dredging up old quotes, mixing them together and pretending like it’s a new interview.

Yes. Drugs spoil the person. And ignorance too.
