Rodney takes behind the walls of the infamous Quad Studios to experience sound Dr. Dre style!

Walking into Quad Studios is the most amazing feeling ever. To be in the same place where major stars like Mariah Carey, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Jay Z and DMX have come up with and recorded tons of platinum records is unbelievable. But on Aug. 17, super producer Rodney Jerkins — who has produced albums for Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber — took us into one of the actual studios and let us experience what it’s like to hear music stream just the way the artists do when recording.

Sitting around chatting with Rodney during the Beats Summer Soundoff sponsored by Dr. Dre Products Pro Beats Headphones, we discussed every aspect of sound production. From the past to the where the future of music production is heading — this incredible man believes that more artists and musicians are being born than ever before. And in the middle of the conversation, he broke off to give us a demonstration of what music sounds like from inside the walls of a studio.

Music continues to move everyone — and being in such a legendary place was not only motivational, but inspirational.
