Watch out, Molly Ringwald!
Selena Gomez has revealed in a new video interview (see below!) that if she had her choice to star in a remake of a film, it would be playing Molly‘s angst-ridden teen character in 1986′s Pretty In Pink.
In a new interview with radio producer Zach Sang, Selena says she’s not a fan of remakes, but if she had to choose, it would be the 1980s cult classic. “It’s very hard because I have a big issue with remakes,” she said. “I sometimes wish they didn’t exist but then sometimes they’re really amazing. A movie that should never be touched but would be awesome to be in a remake in a fake land, would be Pretty In Pink. It would be an awesome role.”
Selena adds, “But there will never be another Molly Ringwald. And I would never want to touch. But that would be great to do the clothes…the characters were so quirky.”
And when asked what she can’t live without, she didn’t miss a beat. “My phone, I can leave everything behind but I have to have my phone.”
No word yet if Selena’s arm candy Justin Bieber feels left out.
