The actor went under the knife this summer to fix a sports injury and doctors have given him strict instructions while he’s on the mend — ‘no cuddling.’
The order means Matthew Broderick has been trying to explain to his affectionate two-year-old twin daughters Tabitha and Marion why he can’t go near them — and they’re not having it! How sad!
“I’m not allowed to pick them up for awhile and it’s hard to explain,” Matthew, 49, tells People.com.
“But they’re pretty good about it. They got it very quickly. I keep telling them, ‘I’ll be back…”
He also reveals his daughters with wife Sarah Jessica Parker are developing fast.
Doting dad Matthew adds, “They are into talking, saying every new word. They repeat everything a lot of times. Their ‘R’s and ‘L’s are not so good, but that will come.”
