Robert Pattinson's New Movie 'The Unbound Captives' Intends To Start Filming In The Spring! Yay!

A source close to the film speaks to HollywoodLife.com and confirms Rob’s involvement along with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz! How exciting!

Robert Pattinson‘s movie The Unbound Captives has been in the works for a while now, but was having trouble getting off the ground. Last week the director Madeleine Stowe told the San Antonio Express-News that she’d start work on the movie next year and now HollywoodLife.com can confirm they intend to begin filming in the spring! We spoke to a source close to the flick who gave us details.

“There’s not a definite start date as elements of the movie are still being worked on,” explains our insider. “But as things are going now we intend to start shooting in the late spring.”

So where will they film? Our spy was a little more coy about giving out these details. “There will be one location and it will not be in LA,” reveals the source. “The goal is not to move and with it being a period piece we will not be using Los Angeles. As for where the location will be, that is currently TBD because, as I mentioned earlier, there are elements of the movie still being worked on which will determine the actual location. But it’s definitely not in LA.”

And are Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Rob still on board? “There have been no changes to the cast. Hugh, Rachel Weisz and Robert are all attached.”

Madeline Stowe revealed to the San Antonio Express-News that she came up with the idea for what she calls “a large romantic Western” while at her cattle ranch in the Texas Hill Country. “I heard about children who were abducted by Comanche Indians [in the 1800s] and became so acculturated that they had a hard time returning. Our ranch had a real history. When I lived there, I felt a certain way about Texas that I hadn’t seen filmed yet.” It sounds like it could be filmed in Texas!

We’re so happy that this movie is moving forward and we can’t wait to see Rob working with fellow big stars like Rachel and Hugh! What do you guys think about Rob’s project? And what other details are you anxious to know about it? Check back for more The Unbound Captives updates!

Hugh Jackman is filming back-to-back movies from the fall of 2011 to late spring/early summer 2012 ( The Wolverine and Les Miserables) which he himself has confirmed in an interview with the UK Daily Mail and in a Q&A at the San Diego ComicCon.

Also, the original producer of UNBOUND CAPTIVES, Hyde Entertainment ( Ashok Amritraj) has dropped the project for sometime now.

Is Madeleine Stowe shopping the script for a new producer and a new male lead? I was excited about this project and Hugh himself told Katie Couric in an interview that it is an exciting script, but are the major elements to get a greenlight already in place?

Just picturing a tanned, buff Rob with long hair riding a wild Mustang bareback in a loin cloth.

And standing next to Hugh Jackman in a Cavalry uniform……

Yeah…call my next of kin because I just died!!

Uhm, people they said “LATE” spring. Im sure the major peeps involved in this movie (at least the Director & Producers) are aware of these actors schedules. If they are not well then that sucks cuz I would actually like to see how this all works out. I Love Hugh & Rachel Weisz is gorgeous, i think Rob can really learn something from these great actors.
