In her new book out Sept. 20, the former Playmate reveals she had thoughts of suicide and almost left her husband Hank Baskett because of her terrible bout with the baby blues after the birth of her son in December 2009.

Kendra Wilkinson, 26, is ready to be brutally honest with her fans and discuss her heartbreaking struggle with postpartum depression, which led to scary thoughts of suicide. In her new book Being Kendra: Cribs, Cocktails, and Getting My Sexy Back, out on Sept. 20, 2011, Kendra opens up about her life as a stay-at-home mom living in Indianapolis — where her husband Hank Baskett played for the Colts — and the roller coaster of emotions she felt while taking care of her now 1½-year-old son, Hank Jr. Did you struggle with postpartum depression like Kendra, HollyMoms?

“After giving birth, I never brushed my hair, my teeth, or took a shower. I looked in the mirror one day and was really depressed,” Kendra told OK! magazine in 2010. “I thought, ‘Look at me!’ I had this glamorous life in L.A., and now [in Indianapolis] I didn’t.”

“A couple of times, I even said, ‘I just have nothing to live for,'” she added.

From screaming matches to self-confidence issues to mood swings, Kendra went through it all. She even got so jealous of her nanny that she fired her, wanting to take on all the mommy responsibilities herself.

She became so emotionally detached from her husband and her child that she started to contemplate suicide — so scary!  Thankfully though, she beat the thoughts, admitting she would never actually do something like that to herself or her family. Isn’t that terrifying, HollyMoms? We feel for Kendra!

Of course, not all of Kendra’s book focuses on her depression. She can’t help but discuss her awesome sex life with Hank, 28, and details her love of mirrors in the bedroom and her crazy experience doing it on a chair, in the car, over Skype and on the floor. That’s TMI!

Will you read Kendra’s new book?
