We love Demi Lovato for becoming such an inspiration to young girls by sharing her struggles with depression, an eating disorder and self-mutilation — but is this dress sending the wrong message to her teen fans?
We know Demi’s no Disney kid anymore, but she’s still only 18, people! She debuted this floor-length frock while performing during the award show Aug. 14, and she was literally spilling out of it! Whoa, Demi!

KAT: You clearly must have some self esteem issues of your own. You do not know Demi Lovato so how can you talk about her like that?!! For all we know..you probably don’t even dress yourself half as good as she does! Look in the mirror before you comment on someone else’s appearance.

The dress looks all wrong for her, yes, but not as bad as the one on the red carpet. She may have been through a great deal, however she refuses to acknowledge her body type (short and on the stout side, wears ‘sexy and hipster’ fashions that end up making her look even stockier and her shoes don’t help most times. We get it Demi, you have body image issues. Dress to flatter yourself, please! The worst part of the ensemble are her extensions—they look unkempt and in need of conditioner and a trim. One hot mess, sorry.
