The actor and father of two hits 39 today — only one more year until the big 4-0!
We know Ben Affleck best for his roles in Pearl Harbor, The Sum Of All Fears, and Daredevil. He’s also a critically acclaimed filmmaker and screenwriter — he won a Oscar with his best friend Matt Damon for writing Good Will Hunting – and worked with brother Casey Affleck on many projects.Ben got his start with performances in Mallrats and Chasing Amy.
In 1998, the actor dated Gwyneth Paltrow, then Jennifer Lopez in 2004. Though they were engaged and had a date set, the pair split in 2004, blaming media attention for the break up. Ben is currently happily married to actress Jennifer Garner and has two daughters, Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 2.
“I love being a father.,” Ben once said, “It’s wonderful. It’s changed my life. It all sounds like platitudes and clichés, and that’s because they’re the truth.”
