Adam Levine Bashes American Idol For Keeping Contestants Closeted! 'You Can't Hide Basic Components Of These Peoples Lives'

The super sexy Maroon 5 frontman put it all out there in this month’s issue of Out Magazine — literally he was half naked!

Adam blasts American Idol in his new interview, E! Online reports. “C’mon. You can’t be publicly gay? At this point? On a singing competition? Give me a break. You can’t hide basic components of these people’s lives. The fact that The Voice didn’t have any qualms about being completely open about it is a great thing.”

Adam also talks about his gay brother and how supportive and accepting he is of him and his lifestyle “You’ve gotta embrace it from the beginning, that’s the only way to deal with it as a family. Otherwise, you’re just screwing yourself over, and you’re gonna make your kid miserable.”

That’s right, you tell em’ Adam!

People shouldn’t have to hide things about themselves in order to compete in a singing competition. Everyone knew Clay Aiken was gay, it was obvious. Why hide it?

I don’t get why dis guy ALWAYS keeps comparing the voice to idol…if u want ur show to be better QUIT comparing! Let the voice hav it’s own standards instead of trying to beat idol’s
