I have proof there is a healthy medium between adorable Disney darling and sex-crazed teenager — you better listen up Miley!
Both stars may have risen to fame as adorable Disney kids but they have gone in very different directions in their teenage years! Miley took the path of the rebellious and over-sexed teenager, while Selena maintained the image of a normal teenage girl– a bit of sexy, and a bit of girl next door. Miley Cyrus may only be 18, a year younger than 19-year-old Selena Gomez, but she has been adamant in her point that she is NO child! She has invested so much time and money into re-creating her image as a sex symbol, which has resulted in the alienation of a lot of her younger fans. One of Miley’s favorite ways to making the world think she is so grown up is by prancing around in concert in some super skimpy get-ups. And when I say skimpy, I mean S-K-I-M-P-Y! Not only is her clothing extremely minimal but she often dons bondage-wear, or lingerie — definitely not appropriate for someone who can’t even legally drink yet! And Miley doesn’t stop there! She dances around the stage mimicking sex acts, pole dancing, and more!
Selena, who recently started her first tour, has been using her concerts to cement her image as a typical teenager. Selena has been making some statements onstage with her outfits which are all very bright, sparkled, sequined, etc. And while she has showed off her sexy side, with a bit of cleavage and a midriff baring outfit, she has not taken at all near the extreme that Miley has. In fact, Selena is representing a pretty typical teen. Most teens today use this time in their lives to experiment and try new things while not going off the deep end. Not all teens can be such goody-two-shoes like Taylor Swift– who is also a perfect role model– and need a healthy medium for them to idolize, and this is exactly what Selena is!
I definitely see Selena as an example of my teenage years which is why I am so proud to see her happily pronouncing herself to the world! She is saying it is OK to experiment with your sex appeal a bit– this is the time to figure out who you are, remember?
There is a big difference between finding who yourself, like Selena, and shoving an overly-sexed image in everyone’s faces, like Miley. I think you’re a great role model Selena and will gain much more success for the healthy image you embody!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Miley looks like a grandma (along with her voice) with hair extensions compared to Selena. Univerisally speaking, Miley isn’t attractive as Selena even if they were wearing the same thing.
