Staff were forced to create a human shield around Birmingham Children’s Hospital after arsonists threatened to firebomb it. Is this the sickest thing you’ve ever heard?
The disgusting behavior of rioters meant Chris and Julie Bryon-Edmond COULDN’T spend the night with their one-month-old daughter Lottie, who will die in weeks if she doesn’t get a donor liver.
Lottie was born seven-weeks premature will a rare condition called neonatal haemochromatosis. She’s currently at the very top of transplant list in the UK, but won’t survive if she doesn’t get a new organ SOON.
Chris and Julie have spent day and night with their sick daughter until Tuesday (Aug 9) when the riots sweeping across the UK reached Birmingham.
Although threats of violence at the hospital weren’t carried out, the riots also meant an aunt who had traveled from Spain to spend time with Lottie, had to stay away.
After they were forced to flee the hospital, Chris and Julie logged onto Twitter to tell the rioters to “come and see the cost of their selfishness.”
We pray Lottie gets the transplant she needs.
