TBS has sadly pulled the plug on George Lopez’s talk show. But how does this affect Kristen Stewart’s dad John, who was the stage manager for the series?
Today TBS announced they are canceling George Lopez‘ talk show Lopez Tonight: “TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of Lopez Tonight. Thursday will be the final episode of the show. We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer. TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air.” This is sad for so many reasons, one of which involves Kristen Stewart‘s dad!
John Stewart was the stage manager for Lopez Tonight and Kristen even paid a visit to the talk show in July of last year where she called out to her dad “Papa Stew”. John told Kristen she looked beautiful and K-Stew blushed and joked her dad usually makes fun of what she’s wearing.
Now it looks like John will have to find a new job, since this week will be George’s last show. We’re sad it didn’t work out for the Lopez Tonight host and crew, and apparently poor ratings were its downfall.
