After comparing himself to Hitler over the weekend, some fairweather fans think Kanye has fallen off the deep end. But as his smash collaborative album with Jay-Z takes the world by storm, it’s clear he simply operates on a more advanced level than his detractors can handle!
Kanye West is no stranger to controversy, and on the same day his staggeringly brilliant new album with Jay-Z called Watch The Throne drops, comments he made at a recent concert comparing himself to Adolf Hitler have left many of his admirers scratching their head. But I say Kanye, 34, is too much of a musical genius to pan simply because of his wonderfully weird meta-commentaries on celebrity culture!
Kanye’s latest rant came during his set at the August 6 Big Chill music festival in England, TMZ reports.
“I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m f**king insane — like I’m Hitler,” he said. “One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did.”
This goes along nicely with a theory I’ve been kicking around for a while — Kanye is simply 10 years ahead of everyone else on everything music and culture, and his frustration comes from being so forward-thinking. Similar to how Albert Einstein must have been annoyed when people couldn’t keep up with his brilliant brain, Kanye has to be frustrated from pushing popular culture along by himself. After all, every trend of the past five years has been done first (and better!) by Kanye.
His latest trick? Releasing Watch The Throne and stealing the show from his mentor Jay-Z on every single song. Critical consensus is that he outrhymes the world’s biggest rapper at nearly every turn, so give this man a break — he’s busy being a visionary!
Ultimately, just bookmark this article and revisit it in 10 years. That’s when the world will catch up with Kanye’s unique brilliance and realize we should be thankful he’s sharing his creativity with the world. And if he wants to offer hilarious snubs to lesser pop-tarts such as Taylor Swift along the way, that’s cool too.

Kanye West is a douche and is NO WHERE CLOSE to the best musician in America. All he is doing is riding Jay-Z’s coat-tails.
