Mystic Falls’ resident witch & wolf got some very well-deserved praise Aug. 7!
With all the Elena/Damon/Stefan drama going down on The Vampire Diaries, it’s unfortunately easy for some of the peripheral characters to get lost in the shuffle. That’s why I’m thrilled Kat Graham and Michael Trevino were honored at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards for their work as super-witch Bonnie and teen-wolf Tyler, taking home the male and female awards for “Choice Scene Stealer!”
I’ve already praised Michael for his work this past season — especially how he made those transformation scenes so horrifying — and it’s no secret that Kat owns every single scene she’s in. (Special kudos to her for Jeremy’s revival scene in May’s season finale. Moving!)
And aside from their own story lines, Tyler and Bonnie are vital to the overall plot: Were it not for Tyler biting Damon, he never would have kissed Elena on the season finale. And were it not for Bonnie, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) literally would have eaten everyone. The end.
