Robert, you owe your career to these fans who voted for you — now get your butt on the red carpet!
Robert Pattinson did not walk the red carpet at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards — and nary a glimpse of the hottest star of today was caught before he won his first award of the night for choice vampire. What gives, Rob?
I get it, it’s hard to be a super star. But when you’re winning awards over Oscar nominees — was Rob’s performance in Water For Elephants really better than Jesse Eisenberg’s in The Social Network? (No) — you better be thankful for the reason for your success — in this case, his loyal fan base. (Robert also won last year for the critically drubbed Remember Me. The fans must really love him.)
To be fair, Rob’s pretty good at the premieres of his movies. He’s always out posing with screaming girls and their moms and good naturedly signing autographs. I can’t fault him there. But then why skip the line at The Teen Choice Awards? It doesn’t make sense.
When Rob just shows up to take home his surfboards, it looks like he can’t be bothered to honor the people who’ve basically made him millions.
His other Twilight co-stars made the effort. Even Taylor Lautner took the long walk past the adoring crowds! I despise siding with Team Jacob at any time, but I have to now!
Maybe he’s missing Kristen Stewart — who was in London working on Snow White And The Huntsman and couldn’t get away. If that’s the case, man up! You don’t always need to be with your girlfriend!
Or maybe he thinks he’s above it all. But I sincerely hope not, because he would not have a career without the Twi-hards who cheer him on at every step of the way.
So Rob, prove me wrong. Walk the red carpet at the next awards ceremony and show your fans the love they deserve!

How about Rob is human like any other man. Maybe he was just having a bad day? Who knows? Who cares?!. We have all had those days when we don’t give 100%, not because we don’t care, but because we just don’t have it in us to be in the “spotlight”. People like Denise are like a contagious infection. Spreading her shallow mindless gossip to bring someone (she doesn’t even know) down and loving anyone who will join the piss parade. Crap like this teaches kids to grow into backstabbing, superficial, morally challenged adults. “Oh we love Rob! BUT, the instant he doesnt perform- the daggers are out!”

First what does that have to do with anything? Second, heard where? let me guess twitter? So guess that makes it true. Rob is one of the most humble, down to earth guys around so I doubt that it is true. Not the type to do it. But you know what you may all get your wish soon. Think Rob has had about enough and is ready to bolt from the whole scene. If the crap keeps up we will probable not see him for a long time, if ever. He once said if the crap got to be too much, he would give it all up and walk away. So if that is your goal, you might get your wish. I heard from a very reliable source that he turned down 3 pretty big movies over the last year. So maybe he has had enough already. How sad and what a loss if that happens. He was just awesome in WFE.

I agree with what. It seems he’s getting ready to take a long maybe even perminent break. I didn’t know he turned down 3 movie roles. That makes it even more likey. He has said before that he misses home. He deserves a long break. As for the red carpet, did anyone even think that it might be a security issue. Also he doesn’t seem to like red carpet events much at all. He’s very shy inspite of his status. Look how he’s got his left hand in a fist in the picture above. He’s obviously uncomfortable. Rob is an incredible and will be soraly missed if he’s driven away by insensitive fans. FYI he’s smoking an electric cigarette now.

Don’t care if he walks the red carpet. Don’t care if he’s acting like a d*ck. Don’t care about his stupid hair. Or how tired he looks. Or whether he’s a super star or whether he has any new films lined up or whatever other little thing you want to talk about and use to either build him up or tear him down. I like him. I will always like him. None of this really matters.

For one thing, you don’t know Rob at all. Yes, he appreciates the kick-start all this craziness has given his career–in that he can now make choices in where he goes from here. Yes, he appreciates his fans when they behave. But Rob would much rather win awards based on his merit than some misplaced idol-ism, so don’t blame him for the votes. As for the carpet, he likely had a reason, even if it was just running late or other things to do. He’s a very busy man.

We as fans cannot even imagine the many issues Mr. Pattinson has to deal with when making a ‘simple’ public appearance. Crowd control, taking the focus from other stars in a smaller area venue further creating havoc and the tight security issues his team has to deal with….only a few of the issues that prevent him from making some of these more ‘out in the public’ events. He is one of the few most giving of our stars…let’s understand there are issues we can only guess at.

It’s good to know that Rob’s fans like me understands him skipping the TCA’s red carpet. I mean, duh?!? We completely know that Rob don’t like red carpets full of ahhhh teenagers. He’s an adult now, he don’t like it. We happily accept it. And I just like to say that I’m glad Kristen didn’t showed up, it’s a boring TCA show LOL

Oh come on, give me (and him) a break, Denise. I don’t know why you bloggers insist on going for the jugular all the time, especially when it comes to Rob.I couldn’t agree more with the comments here.
The red carpet is something that Paris Hilton might enjoy but putting yourself on display like that would be distasteful and maybe he just damn well didn’t feel like it. So what? Had he walked it, you would have found something else to gripe about.
Everything he does, you people pick at and dissect – and you wonder why he doesn’t like to walk red carpets or do al this publicity stuff? Can you blame
him? Also having people screaming at you all the time would be a little disconcerting. Leave him alone.

Gracious Rob
Posted at 9:51 AM on August 8, 2011
Well then, it’s a good thing his loyal fans do not think like you because he’s proven time and time again how gracious he is when comes to his fans. He doesn’t need to walk the red carpet, pose like a showpony, just so paparazzis can take his pictures to sell to tabs like HL. And let’s be real, red carpets are less about fans but are more about celebrities wanting their pictures taken and being plastered all over the media the next day for exposure. Taylor likes to walk red carpets, that’s probably more his thing and he does have a film to promote and gab about in the red carpet interviews. And it’s so juvenile of the writer to insinuate that Rob didn’t walk the red carpet because Kristen was not there. He also didn’t walk the red carpet during the 2011 MTV Awards. The only thing you got right in this article is about Rob’s graciousness towards his fans during his movie premieres. And right there, you should have had a clue already. He walks the red carpet and meets and greets his fans at appropriate times, when he’s working and people had come to see him.

I think the same thing like Maki, I love hollywoodlife.com I really think that you’re the best, but I think that you prejugde about Rob and it isn’t fair. You can tell us what do you think okey, but you shouldn’t be so hard about him. C’mon! He isn’t good because He doesn’t have thousands of polemic appearances or because he doesn’t drug himself, throw parties, or he is drunk in front whole world, I think that Rob and K-Stew take the fame who better, because they aren’t polemic and they are a good model to his fans.
why?
Posted at 9:11 AM on August 8, 2011
Rob doesnt walk the red carpet because he is shy and doesnt like having his picture taken. Walking the red carpet is all about fame and having your picture taken so it will be put in the magazines not about fans. Lots of people did not walk the red carpet yesterday. There is no actor that is better to his fans than Rob, he even touched as many hands as he could on his way to recive his awards and on the way leaving from it. Most of the celebs on the red carpet didnt even sign autographs so once again you just try to make trouble. Afterall it was Rob who worked an 10 hr day on cosmopolis finishing at 5am, with Kristen waiting for him in the car, and still signed autographs and talked individually with over 60 fans. Give me a break.

Give the guy a break. He’s shy. Besides, you don’t know if he had another committment. TCA isn’t the only game in town. They should be lucky he showed up. You can tell how shy he is when he gets in front of the cameras and he has a mike in his face. You should try and work as hard as he works, plus hit all the awards shows and try to please every one of his fans, the audience, the execs and the critics. Get off his back.

First of all robert pattinson doesn’t have to show you a damn thing ! what’s your name …. oh ! denise …whatever it is, ther could be many reason why he didn’t walk “the carpet” , so this dumb statement is totally malicious..your blog site never has and never will have any exclusive interviews with pattinson or stewart because this site is a complete joke and so are those so called “writers ” i’ll believe you when you can actually write for a reputable magazine……..
